MAUF PROGRAMS

The Metro Atlanta Urban Farm is a 501 (c) (3) organization that is dedicated to providing agricultural training to those who are willing to learn.  Our programs are designed to create future generations of urban farmers, provide incentives to motivate families to eat healthy and participate in an agricultural system that is environmentally friendly. We also want to empower communities to create grassroots’ food systems that eradicate food insecurity. Our current projects are:

Each year Metro Atlanta Urban Farm host two community festivals. The Festival is centered on an agricultural/environmental theme. The purpose of the Community Festivals is to address the need for affordable food in our community by engaging the residents of College Park, East Point, and surrounding areas in urban agriculture. The Festival activities provide education on planting, cultivating, and cooking fresh produce. The Festivals also focus on health by providing information and presentations on healthy eating, lifestyles, and various illnesses. In addition to educational workshops, the Festivals consist of a variety of vendors, foods, games, and musical entertainment. If you’re interested in volunteering, serving as a vendor, and or sponsoring this event please contact us. To see the dates for our upcoming festivals, please visit the calendar page.
