We are a certified naturally grown farm and community-driven organization that provides training, education and support services for youth, adults and seniors interested in transforming their lives and communities through agriculture. Our overarching goal is to create sustainable urban agriculture while building stronger communities. It is through this medium we will create health and economic empowerment zones while providing accessible, high-quality, low-cost produce.
We are committed to identifying and implementing effective programming activities and processes that will help create healthy communities.
We saw too many families in our community who were food insecure and lived in food deserts. Our mission is to reduce barriers to healthy living in urban communities by encouraging, promoting and supporting health education and fostering sustainable high quality, low-cost agricultural production through gardening and agricultural literacy.
As we began the plans for our farm, we realized that the people we intended to serve needed to know us. They needed to have faith and trust that the produce we provided would be of the highest quality and know that price does not always dictate quality. We explored every opportunity to find the most cost-effective methods of growing our produce. It is because of these efforts to produce the best health food alternatives, we chose to become a certified naturally grown farm and we only grow produce that is in season. We combine ancient and innovative techniques to ensure we are able to sell our customers food that is as close to free as we can get.
As a farm located in Georgia, we are blessed with a long growing season. We have more than 25 crops during the warm and cool seasons. During the warm season our farm is known for its okra and tomatoes. We grow more than 8 varieties of tomato and 3 varieties of okra. During the cool season, you won’t find better greens. We grow and are known for our canola greens, kohlrabi, swiss chard, spinach, various varieties of lettuce, turnips and collards. After a fall rain in late October and early November, you can’t walk on our farm without smelling the sweet fragrance of the greens.
Great time this morning. Learned about faking and gardening. Opportunity to have my own plot.

They grow most of the produce they sell, so many options are limited by season, but you can't get much fresher. The quality of the greens has been unsurpassed. More often than not, the guy goes out into the field to pick what I am buying just before I pay for it.

They support and teach about local urban farming. How to get the best yield out of the smallest places.
The Metro Atlanta Urban Farm sits on a beautiful five-acre tract of land in the heart of College Park, Georgia just minutes from downtown Atlanta and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
In 2009, Metro Atlanta Urban Farm (MUAF) was created to address the growing need of affordable food in low-income communities. We wanted to create an agricultural model that works to decrease the number of food insecure families by educating them on planting, cultivating and cooing fresh produce. In addition, we wanted the farm to serve as a preventative tool against health issues, crime and to encourage social and emotional wellness.
In MAUF’s short history, the staff has provided hundreds of “at-risk” youth with personalized gardening training. Farm staff also provides gardening training to organizations, churches and community centers. MAUF offers seasonal farmer’s markets in underserved areas. Because we believe communities should have a voice in programming and policies that impact them the most, we strongly encourage the establishment of agricultural consortiums designed to promote a true community network of businesses, residents, organizations, and institutions who support one another with a “co-created” process of working agreements, policies and procedures.
